Who We Are
Zacarias Engineering (ZE) is forged from years of various engineering and customer service experience from multiple states and fortune 500 companies. Who is behind ZE?
Marco Zacarias
Passionate in mechanical mechanisms and product design with an emphasis in rapid prototyping with an entrepreneur mindset. I find great joy working directly with customers and cross-functional teams to find creative solutions while always seeking new and exciting opportunities to expand my growth.
In addition, I partake in several ventures outside my 9-5 career as an investor and business entrepreneur. In early 2017, I started LEAN estates LLC while studying real estate and in 2018 I partnered to begin Retro Vibes Barbershop LLC. Not to mention, mid-2016 I landed my first freelancing gig as a Structural Engineering which lead to the creation of Zacarias Engineering LLC. Having this said, I'm not your typical 9-5 engineer but someone who is always seeking new and exciting opportunities to expand my growth.
Mission Statement
My mission and focus is to provide engineering and technical solutions in an innovative and cost effective manner while maintaining the highest level of integrity and most importantly, customer service. I accomplish this by utilizing a set of personal core values and more specifically, Arnold's Six Rules of Success.
Core Values
What Drives & Inspires Me
The Six Rules of Success
Every day I live and breath by these six principles. During my career, ventures and number of various roles, I apply these same rules to win and strive to reach that A-Player status.
TRUST YOURSELF
I started from humble beginnings without handouts or having capital available. I know I want to change my life for the better and ask myself, how can I reach my goals? My take is to see that vision, break it into smaller steps, set deadlines and take action...
“Something burned inside me. I wanted to be different; I was determined to be unique. I was driven to think big and to dream big.” - ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
IGNORE THE NAYSAYERS
You always hear it, "it can't be done," "it's never been done before," "They're all 100% bad," "Aren't you a little too young?" My mindset changed over time. At first, I would take comments personally, but I found out it that it only made me tougher. In fact, I love hearing some of the negative remarks, because it does give me that opportunity to grown or add credibility under my name. Imagine where Steve Jobs, Barack Obama or Elon Musk would be if they gave in to their naysayers?
“How many times have you heard that you can’t do this and you can’t do that and it’s never been done before? I love it when someone says that no one has ever done this before, because then when I do it that means that I’m the first one that has done it.”
— ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
BREAK SOME RULES
I'm always looking to win and if rules need to be broken, it doesn't hurt to ask why and management typically has the same goal to win. Imagine where we would be if we never questioned our superiors or authorities?
“Break the rules, not the law, but break the rules. It is impossible to be a maverick or a true original if you’re too well behaved and don’t want to break the rules. You have to think outside the box.”
— ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
WORK LIKE HELL
One could say this is part of my culture, I say it’s part of who I am. I could root this back to my college years as a full-time student at Pima Community College and working full-time as a contact center agent. But where it really began, was during my engineering training years at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Here is where I began to value my time as I spent 7 days a week and up to 12 hours a day studying. This only forged my capabilities to maximize my available time resulting in someone who is known to be reliable, dependable and someone who will deliver.
“But when you’re out there partying, horsing around, someone out there at the same time is working hard. Someone is getting smarter and someone is winning. Just remember, you can’t climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets.”
— ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
DON'T BE AFRAID TO FAIL
I've always been hungry for success no matter the cost. If it means to throw myself out there and risk making a fool of myself, I much rather ask questions or try and fail then to not try at all. Although not all my projects or ventures have been successful, I know that I gain valuable knowledge each and every time. It only takes one good idea or project to make a significant difference in your life.
“So you can’t always win, but don’t be afraid of making decisions. You can’t be paralyzed by fear of failure or you will never push yourself. You keep pushing because you believe in yourself and in your vision and you know that it is the right thing to do, and success will come.”
— ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
GIVE SOMETHING BACK
I never fail to remember where I came from and where we been. With multiple short-term projects and exciting long-term business ventures, the sheer experience of helping others is far more exhilarating than anything I've done. For this reason and many others, I've volunteered with many non-profit organizations to advocate education, support against cancer, entrepreneurship and have donated to a number of charities.
“And let me tell you something, reaching out and helping people will bring you more satisfaction than anything else you have ever done.”
— ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
